Welcome to Oxford Road Scout Group – Your Local Community Hub for Adventure! Proudly serving the Oxford Road area as part of Reading Central District Scouts, we offer fun, friendship and life skills for young people aged 6–18 across Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers.

Fun starts here every Friday 6:00–7:30pm at Oxford Road Beavers!

Every week, 6–8 year olds enjoy:

  • Exciting games & team challenges
  • Creative crafts & badge-earning fun
  • Outdoor adventures & nature exploration
  • Sleepovers, trips & helping others

Beavers is where kids laugh, make friends, build confidence and try new things – all in a kind, supportive group.

Adventure awaits every Tuesday 6:45–8:15pm (Centurion Cubs) or Wednesday 5:30–7:00pm (Battle Cubs)!

Every week, 8–10½ year olds enjoy:

  • Thrilling games, sports & team challenges
  • Outdoor skills, adventures & camps
  • Creative activities, global projects & badge earning
  • Trips out, community help & making a difference

 

Cubs build confidence, master new skills, explore the world and forge lifelong friendships, all while having massive fun in a supportive pack.

Level up the adventure every Thursday 7:00–9:00pm at Oxford Road Scouts!

Every week, 10½–14 year olds enjoy:

  • High-energy games, sports & team-building
  • Outdoor expeditions, camping & pioneering
  • Skills like navigation, survival & first aid
  • Creative projects, global challenges & top badges
  • Leadership roles, trips away & making a difference
 

Scouts build independence, tackle big adventures, strengthen friendships and gain confidence, all while pushing limits and having brilliant fun in a supportive patrol.

Push your limits every Monday 7:30–9:00pm at Oxford Road Explorers!

Every week, 14–18 year olds enjoy:

  • Epic outdoor expeditions, camping & high-adventure challenges
  • Skills like climbing, kayaking, navigation & survival
  • Leadership opportunities, planning your own events & volunteering
  • International trips, top awards & making a real impact
  • Fun games, new friendships & independence in a supportive group

Our Headquarters is located inside the Kensington Recreation Park and can be access from Kensington Road (main entrance) or through a small alley way between 63 and 67 Wantage Road (side entrance, not always open).
